Klondike Solitaire Unblocked: Play Free Online
Klondike is the solitaire most people picture: seven piles, one stock, four foundations. This page lets you play Klondike Solitaire unblocked in your browser with no download and no account. Aizi itself runs no ads, and you can play Klondike Solitaire free as often as you like.
How to play Klondike Solitaire
The goal is to move every card to the four foundation piles, one per suit, building each from Ace up to King.
You start with seven columns on the table. The first has one card, the second has two, and so on up to seven, with only the top card of each column face up. The rest of the deck sits in the stock.
On the table, you build downward in alternating colors. A red 6 goes on a black 7, a black Jack goes on a red Queen. You can move a whole run of face-up cards as one group. When you move a card off a face-down one, the face-down card flips over. Only a King can fill an empty column.
When you run out of moves, draw from the stock. The game offers two draw rules: draw 1 or draw 3. When the stock runs out, the waste pile cycles back so you can go through it again.
Draw 1
Turn over one card from the stock at a time.
- Easier
- Good for learning the board
Draw 3
Turn over three at once and play only the top one.
- Harder
- Wins come less often
The top bar shows your moves, time, score and the deal number.
Controls
| Action | Keyboard | Mouse / touch |
|---|---|---|
| Move a card or run | None needed | Drag it to a pile, or click it to send it to the best spot |
| Draw from stock | Space | Click the stock |
| Undo | Ctrl + Z | Undo button |
| Hint | H | Hint button |
| Auto-complete | A | Auto button |
| Close a window | Esc | Close button |
A single click on a card makes an automatic move, with foundations preferred. If the card has no legal move, it gives a small wiggle. The game also lights up valid targets while you drag.
Tips to get better
- Reveal face-down cards first. Each hidden card is a card you can’t plan around. Favor moves that uncover them, especially in the tall columns on the right.
- Think before you empty the stock. Cards come out of it in a fixed order, and what you play now decides what you can play later.
- Don’t rush Aces and Twos to the foundation. They usually belong there, but a middle card sent up too early can block a run you still need on the table.
- Keep Kings in mind. Only a King fits an empty column, so don’t empty a column unless a King is ready, or you’ll have a gap you can’t use.
- Use Hint when stuck, Undo when unsure. Both are unlimited, so there is no cost to testing an idea.
- Press Auto when the game is won. Once every card is face up, auto-complete finishes the job in a second.
- Switch between draw 1 and draw 3 on purpose. Learn the board on draw 1, then try draw 3 for a real challenge.
Which mode to start with
The Settings window has a Game mode switch: Conjunction or Classic. Classic is plain Klondike, the one you can play from memory. Conjunction layers on extra rules, including a resource called Elan, objectives for each deal and rare triggers that temporarily change how moves work.
If you want to learn the game, start with Classic and draw 1. Once you win a few deals, turn Conjunction on to see what changes, or move up to draw 3.
- Classic mode, draw 1
- Win a few deals
- Turn Conjunction on, or move up to draw 3
Settings also has options for card readability (Standard, Large or Huge corner values) and a four-color deck, which gives diamonds and clubs their own colors so the suits are easier to tell apart. It’s a handy option on a small screen.
The Themes tab lets you pick card backs, card faces, tables and backgrounds. Everything is unlocked, and it costs nothing.
Keeping track of your games
The Stats tab shows how you’re doing across games. Your data saves in the browser, and the settings let you export it, import it or reset it. If you like chasing a faster time, play the same deal number again and see if you can beat yourself.
Aizi's tip before the first move, look at all seven columns and the top of the stock. A two-minute plan usually saves ten minutes of moving cards back and forth.
