Cartoon Mahjong Unblocked: Play Free Online
Cartoon Mahjong is a calm tile-matching puzzle with friendly pictures. You can play Cartoon Mahjong unblocked in your browser: no download and no install. It’s a relaxing way to spend a break, and you can play Cartoon Mahjong online free at your own speed.
How to play Cartoon Mahjong
The board is a pile of tiles. Your goal is to match pairs of identical tiles until every tile is gone. When you click two matching tiles that are both free, they disappear.
A tile is free only when nothing sits on top of it and at least one of its sides, left or right, is open. If a tile is blocked, you have to remove the tiles covering or boxing it in first.
That one rule is the whole puzzle. You’ll often see a match that you can’t make yet, so the real skill is working out which tiles to clear first to free the ones you need.
The tiles use cartoon pictures, such as a strawberry, a rainbow, a paw print and a brown bear. The game describes itself as calm and relaxing, with a new challenge each time, and it suits both beginners and experienced Mahjong players.

The game plays in landscape orientation and is listed for PC and Android.
Tips to get better
- Scan the whole board first. Before you click, look for pairs you can already make. Easy matches are a good start.
- Clear the top layers. Tiles on top block those beneath, so work from the top down.
- Open the sides. A tile with a free left or right side can be used. Look for tiles at the ends of rows.
- Think before you match a pair that blocks others. If three tiles of the same picture are visible, pick the pair that frees the most new tiles.
- Go for tiles that free several others. A tile that sits on top of many is worth removing early.
- Don’t rush. There’s no need to hurry. A careful plan beats a fast click.
- Look for the picture you can’t find. If you only see one of a kind, its partner is probably buried. Dig toward it.
A relaxing way to play
Mahjong solitaire suits short, calm sessions. You can clear a board in a few minutes, or take your time with a longer one. There’s no enemy and no big penalty for a slow move.
If you log in, the game can save your progress and keep it across devices, which is useful if you switch between a school computer and a phone. Without logging in, expect it to stay on the one device.
The cartoon style keeps it light. The tiles are easy to tell apart, which helps if you’re new to Mahjong and find traditional tile art hard to read. The pictures make matching pairs quicker, so you spend your time thinking about the layout, not squinting at symbols.
Aizi's tip before you click a pair, check whether another tile of the same kind is nearby. Choosing the pair that unlocks the most tiles is what separates a cleared board from a stuck one.
Spotting the clear-first tiles
The best habit in tile matching is to look for the tile that frees the most others. A tile sitting on top of a big stack is worth clearing early, because it opens the way to everything below. A tile at the end of a row opens a side for the next one.
Try this on each board:
- Spend ten seconds finding every free tile
- Pick out the pictures that appear twice
- Choose the pair that frees the most new tiles
It’s slower than clicking the first match you see, but you’ll get stuck much less.
The game is listed for PC and Android, in landscape, with English as the only language. If you play on a phone, turn it sideways for a larger board.
